Startup Battle,
July 31, 2019

Two Startups, ZenSports and Mass became the winners of the 152nd Startup Battle, Silicon Valley!

Rigorous Judges were so excited by both Startups that could not choose just one.

Congratulations to: Marta Parke, CEO at Mass and Mark Thomas, CEO at ZenSports!

Startup.Network and GSVlabs are satisfied by conducting the Startup Battle in San Mateo on July 31st.

11 promising Startups were presented to 20+ Venture Fund Members and active Angel Investors as well as 100+ super involved Guests.

According to the Judges’ voting results both Startups - ZenSports and Mass have got the same rating and got 1st place! That is pretty understandable, just take a look at this future Unicorns:

ZenSports is a mobile peer-to-peer sports betting marketplace where anyone can create and accept sports bets with anyone else in the world, without the need for a bookmaker.

Mass is world edge computing. Mass enables anyone with a computer to earn universal income and supplies businesses with the power of the world’s computers.

The Startup Battle was started with Panel Discussion.

Shawn Flynn became the Moderator of the Panel Discussion. Shawn is a director of business development at TechCode Accelerator - US.

All Speakers are announced at the section Speakers on the event page: https://battle.startup.network/events/394903/#speakers

This time, our sophisticated Speakers revealed Term Sheet, Shawn asked speakers:

What are the most common terms in a term sheet? How should a founder look at a term sheet as a whole? What are common vesting terms for founders of a company? What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing a convertible note? How do term sheets different from seed to A-round? What is a founder-friendly board? And other questions within the topic.

The second part of the Battle was dedicated to the Pitch Competition.

Eleven pre-selected Seed stage Startups were presented to the venture community.

During the Pitch Competition, Judges marked each startup.

Find the list of Judges on: https://battle.startup.network/events/394903/#judges

Full list of attendees startup could be reached on: https://battle.startup.network/events/394903/#startups

We hope that all attendees had good experience!

Here is some testimonial:

“ Shawn was a super moderator: very organized with some great questions. As usual, I learned a lot from listening to my fellow seasoned panelists. You did a great job, as usual, organizing the event and I was impressed with the quality of the startup pitches and startup founders, especially Mass.”, Marisa Alma McGinnis, LP in Blumberg Capital Fund III.

We’d like to say special gratitude to our great Partner - GSVlabs.

And thanks for the professional help personally to Slater McClean - Startup Director and Product Manager at GSVlabs.
